Wine and music are a great pairing, and if there’s one way our winemaker and winery employees know how to keep spirits up during tough times, it’s a great set of tunes. On any given day you can hear music flowing from the cellar as the production crew works away. But as we pine for the good ol’ days of summer BBQs, friends over for wine tasting or a romantic evening, we can’t help but wonder, how do you choose what music to pair with your wine? Here are a few suggestions to help compile your playlist!
Wine playlist tips:
- Decide the vibe: Upbeat summer sounds – Moody rainy nights – Poppy snowy days…Remember those???
- Match time and vintage: We love sipping our 2008 Reserve Pinot Noir with Jon Mayer’s top 40 hit Say plays in the background or 2012 Three Vineyard Pinot Noir pairs amazingly with Carly Rae Jepsen’s Call Me Maybe
- Mix up the genres: Jazz and Pinot – Indie/Alternative and Riesling – Chardonnay and Country
- Have fun! – There are no rules
We asked our Chehalem team members to send us their songs and playlists, and we hope they provide a welcome soundtrack to your week.
What songs would you pair with Chehalem wine? Share them with us and we’ll create a Spotify playlist for our winemaking team to play at harvest this fall!
